DTCCU-L

The purpose of DTCCU-L is to quickly and efficiently distribute information about the Dog Training Club to our current, past, and pending Club members with e-mail and to others interested in our Club.  The list is the official alternate method for the Club to send out announcements of meetings, dog events, social meetings, late-breaking news, and newsletters.  (Membership lists with name/address/e-mail will NOT be distributed via this list.)   If an issue arises where discussion among members would be useful, the DTCCU Board will decide whether or not to use this list for that purpose.

Individual members of the list may send e-mail to this list, as long as the topics pertain to the Dog Training Club.  General club or member information, news of dog-related events (club-sponsored or otherwise), and announcements of dog-related items are appropriate.  Personal messages, specific training questions, and ads for animals for sale are not appropriate.  Mary will be monitoring messages posted on the list and will contact members who overstep the list guidelines.  We do reserve the right to remove repeat offenders from the list.

2.   TO POST A MESSAGE TO THE LIST, so it will go to everyone, send it to:
          dtccu-l@lists.prairienet.org

3.   THE LIST IS SET UP TO REPLY VIA PRIVATE E-MAIL TO THE INDIVIDUAL 
          WHO POSTED A MESSAGE .
           To reply to the list, you must change the e-mail address in the "to" field from the person's
           individual e-mail address to dtccu-l@lists.prairienet.org

A FEW WORDS ABOUT OUR LIST

• Our list is unmoderated, so what you write will be posted immediately.

• Please don't send attachments—pictures or files—to the list.

• Digest and Archival options are not enabled.

• Please don't send virus warnings to the list; send them to the listowner first, so they can be verified.

• All messages sent to the list should be of interest to the whole group—no personal messages.      

• Use a subject line that describes the content of your message.

• If you have an e-mail "signature", try to keep it less than five lines total.

• Be courteous and polite to others, even if you disagree with them.  And if you must disagree,  please do it privately—NOT on the list.

• Sarcasm can easily be misinterpreted when you're using e-mail.  Heavy use of emoticons  is encouraged so list members can tell when you're really joking.  :-)  Smile!
